Professional Experience:

Mr. Holzer was the Co-Chair of the Environmental Litigation & Transactions Department at Parker, Milliken, Clark, O'Hara and Samuelian. Beginning January 1, 2006, he has joined Lewitt, Hackman as the Chair of the firm's Environmental Litigation and Environmental Transactions Department.

Mr. Holzer started at Parker, Milliken in the mid-1970's as a business litigator. In the early 1980's, Mr. Holzer began to represent clients specifically in the environmental law field. Mr. Holzerā€™s experience as a business litigator has enabled him to represent clients' interests in environmental matters not only in a transactional but also in an administrative or litigation context.

Mr. Holzer has experience representing clients in issues involving both toxic mold and asbestos.

Mr. Holzer also has experience representing clients in connection with the following types of matters:

- environmental auditing;
- administrative enforcement by Los Angeles County Sanitation Districts;
- enforcement of Superfund by federal EPA and/ California Department of Toxic Substances Control;
- private-party Superfund litigation;
- underground storage tank matters;
- Proposition 65;
- toxic torts.

Speeches and Writing:

Mr. Holzer has frequently spoken at seminars and also authored a variety of articles on environmental law.

Teaching:

Mr. Holzer in the past has been an instructor on environmental law at both UCLA Extension, Learning Tree University and Los Angeles Valley College Extension.
