In a March 18 Post, I note that California Assembly Bill 1354 (which would set a perchlorate MCL of 6 ppb) has been taken up by the Assembly Committee on Environmental Safety and Toxic Materials. AB 492 (see Posts of February 20, March 5 and March 9)-required reporting on disposition of perchlorate waste-has also been referred to the same Committee.
Textual revisions to the bill to eliminate the connection to the (non-existent) use of perchlorate by dry cleaners are yet to appear on California Legislative Informatino website.
