KFOR.com, the website of an Oklahoma City TV station, reports that canines are the latest tool in mold detection:
Toxic black mold is a hidden danger almost every home-owner fears. Before you buy a house, you may want to call on a mold detective to sniff out danger. "Boo" the beagle is one of only 53 dogs in the U.S. trained to smell the presence of mold in homes.
Dogs are typically more cost effective than high-tech testing and air sampling. Plus, they can identify where in the house the problem is coming from.
"Boo's" website, Nosey Dogs Mold Detection, shows what Boo does, why the company claims his services are valuable, and--last but not least--how cute he is.
This is not Boo but is just as cute.
That is a lovely concept and should be incorporated more for this work.
