Political correctness run amok, with The Copenhagen Post The Copenhagen Post reporting the upcoming UN climate summit has banned any symbols of Christmas at the summit venue:
Although the COP15 climate conference is set to take place during the Christmas season, the Foreign Ministry believes the holiday and all its symbols should be kept well clear of the summit.
That point was bluntly illustrated when a sponsorship providing numerous Nordmann fir trees for the conference was rejected by the ministry....
How about the fact that, in any climate-change deal, the West will be expected to contribute a disproportionate share of sacrifice? How about the fact that, as the Post reports, the fir trees at issue are among the most environmentally friendly trees on Earth?
Belief in "global warming" or "climate change" apparently is the new religion for those at the summit, replacing any reference whatsoever to Western religion despite the fact the event is being held in a Western city.
Does anyone seriously think banishment of religious symbols would apply were the event held in some other countries?
